Daniel Filan

Daniel works on writing and assessing standards for Guidelight. He previously worked at METR, contributing to the Frontier Risk Report (February to March 2026). Prior to that, he was a research manager at MATS. He has a PhD in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley.
