Janine Edgerton-Avin

Janine is Chief Operating Officer of Guidelight AI Standards. She is an accomplished COO, having previously served in that role for a hedge fund trading cryptocurrency products. She steered the fund through repeated cycles of boom and bust, as counterparties, markets and trends grew, matured, and (in many cases) collapsed.

Before moving into operations leadership, Janine had a varied career including seven years at Google, where she contributed to building out its global data center footprint and rationalising a part of its Android payments business. She also managed humanitarian logistics with the United Nations’ World Food Programme, procuring and moving food and humanitarian supplies into Yemen and North Africa during the Arab Spring.

Janine holds a Master of Laws from Swansea University and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from the University of British Columbia.
